FAQs

  • Vista Village is on track to begin accepting residents in 2024.

  • A resident must be an individual of at least 18 years and older. Each home is single-occupancy.

  • Vista Village will receive referrals for residents from our community partners. Vista Village will then interview each referral and ultimately select its residents. Vista Village will provide the housing for that individual, and the community partner making the referral will continue working with the individual on his/her case plan.

  • Vista Village does not have a set timeframe for residency but based on our research of other transitional housing programs, we anticipate residents will be with us for about 18 to 24 months before graduating from the Village. Any resident that does not graduate within this timeframe will be eligible to continue living in the Village as long as he/she is actively making progress on the goals set forth in their case plan.

  • At Vista Village, we recognize that the road to recovery and healing is not a linear one. We believe people need safe, stable housing before any of their other needs can be addressed. The only prerequisite we look for in potential residents is desire and motivation to achieve self-sufficiency. Once living in the Village, residents will be expected to pay rent on time, abide by civil law, and follow the rules of Vista Village itself.

  • In addition to the plethora of wraparound supportive services, residents will have access to the community center which houses a large gathering area for activities and events, laundry facilities, a computer center, study rooms, a commercial kitchen, outdoor grills and picnic areas.
